Details | This work presents a case study about the waste collection system in metropolitan cities. Waste collection management brings an important administrative challenges for a municipality. Municipal governments are forced to financially and physically manage the best use of limited resources. The trend of promoting SDGs is also forcing the waste collection system to adopt a better recycling mechanism. This work presents a case about the improved waste collocation system from metropolitan cities in Japan with the utilization of digital transformation (DX) technology. In this work, several problems that are related to the system design and development are envisaged while a successful case is introduced. |
